It’s hard to believe it is that time of year already! Are you a teacher heading back to the classroom? Perhaps you are a mom or dad sending your kiddos back to school. College students can benefit from the following oils too! I spent 12 years as a classroom teacher…I wish I had essential oils then! Here are the top oils I recommend as we start the 2017-2018 school year.
Peppermint: Stay alert and focused! Apply to wrists and back of neck. Add 3-4 drops in the diffuser along with Wild Orange in the morning to wake up or use during study time.
OnGuard: A blend of Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary. Supports a healthy immune system and respiratory function. Drink 1 drop in 4 oz. of water or add 3-4 drops in the diffuser. Combine a few drops of doTERRA On Guard with Fractionated Coconut Oil for a natural hand cleanser.
Frankincense: All things brain!…focus, attention, concentration. The “king of oils” also boosts the immune system; a drop under the tongue, drink 1 drop in 4 oz. water, or apply to bottoms of the feet.
Rosemary: Improve brain function. Diffuse along with Eucalyptus in the morning while getting ready for school. Rosemary also balances emotions, helps reduce nervous tension and combats occasional fatigue. Apply topically, use internally, or enjoy aromatically.
Balance: Place on the bottom of your feet to promote feelings of calmness and tranquility throughout the day. Roll on wrists when feeling stressed or anxious. Diffuse this blend of Spruce Leaf, Ho Wood Leaf, Frankincense Resin, Blue Tansy Flower, Blue Chamomile Flower, and Osmanthus Flower essential oils to promote calmness.
Melalueca: Use to cleanse and purify the skin and nails and to support a healthy complexion. Taken internally, Melaleuca promotes healthy immune function. Make a spray to clean surfaces throughout the home or classroom to protect against germs. Use a glass spray bottle with distilled water, 3 drops Clove and 3 drops Melaleuca to repel (gasp!) lice on the scalp.
Serenity: A blend of Lavender Flower, Cedarwood, Ho Wood Leaf, Ylang Ylang Flower, Marjoram Leaf, Roman Chamomile Flower, Vetiver Root, Vanilla Bean Absolute, Hawaiian Sandalwood Wood diffuses to de-stress and unwind after a long day. Apply 2–3 drops to the back of the neck or on the heart for feelings of calmness and peace.
Lavender: Apply topically to ease stress and anxiety. Take in a capsule or under the tongue along with Peppermint and Lemon to decrease allergy symptoms. Diffuse on nightstand for restful sleep.

“Immune System Support”
In a 10 ml roller bottle combine:
16 drops Breathe
12 drops OnGuard
8 drops Oregano
8 drops Melaleuca
8 drops Frankincense
3 drops Lemon
Top off with Fractioned Coconut Oil
Apply at least 3 times daily to bottoms of feet, chest, back and bridge of nose if you need an immune boost, and once a day to bottoms of feet or spine if you just want to maintain your immune system.
